Program Philosophy

The goal of the Justin-Siena Cross Country Program is to help our athletes reach their true potential through running. Attaining goals set through distance work helps students establish pathways for future success. Through commitment, dedication and hard work, we embrace the Ironman motto "anything is possible".

The pillars of cross country sport are endurance, strength and speed. We balance our individual strengths and weaknesses to become athletes who train and race holistically. The training cycle is crafted specifically for young athletes to become stronger and faster in order to reach both team and individual goals. We employ a whole mind and body approach for training which is the key to longevity and success. In addition to endurance work, we focus on strength training and injury prevention, stretch/mobility, nutrition and lifestyle factors.

JSXC provides an inclusive, positive, and goal oriented environment for the student athlete. All individuals are welcome to join regardless of ability or experience, who are willing to embrace the team philosophy and work hard to be their personal best. Our program is designed to have a strong community feel and a bonded, team focused experience. We strive to win while learning how to push beyond our boundaries to achieve new milestones.
