Mission in Action

Justin-Siena High School’s Lasallian Education Access Program (LEAP), founded in 2010, serves 60 economically disadvantaged students each year. LEAP provides educational access for students who would not otherwise be able to attend a private, Lasallian Catholic college preparatory school. The program and its staff address the variety of social, cultural, and academic needs of its scholars who enter Justin-Siena; we hope to break the cycle of poverty through significant tuition assistance and incredible academic and personal support. LEAP scholars are first-generation college bound students whose grit and determination surpass their financial resources. Most importantly, LEAP supports and engages parents in supporting their student’s quest for a college education.

LEAP By the Numbers
  • 73 LEAP alumni attending or graduated from colleges such as St. Mary's College, Sacramento State, Dominican University, Pomona College, Columbia University, USC, Santa Clara, University of La Verne, and more
  • Annual program costs of $1M+ include tuition assistance, textbooks, uniforms, program activities, and the human resources to make sure that our LEAP Scholars thrive
  • 97% are first-generation college bound students
  • 52% are legacy students (parents or older siblings are JS alumni)
