Hannah Chau '18 Shines Again at Stinson Beach Relays

For the second year in a row, Justin-Siena Cross-Country Captain Hannah Chau '18 dropped the hammer on the anchor leg at the 61st Stinson Beach Relays and recorded the fastest girls time of the day.
"She knew she had to break 10 minutes", said Coach Anderson. According to coach Michael Anderson, "she put on her game face, and with no one pushing her, Hannah dropped a 9:45. We have all grown to expect this from Hannah." With senior Co-Captain Juliette Nast '18 running the fourth fastest time of the day, the Braves placed third at the annual Cross-Country kick-off meet. "We only took seven girls to Stinson, but the girls showed "All Heart." We have something to build on," Coach Anderson shared.

The Boys team had five runners under 10 minutes, and showed depth. "We have a very young boys team, with eight freshmen and only one senior," said Coach Emily Dutton. "While we can do well this year, we can be an exceptional strong team over the next few years." Freshmen Casey Potrebic '21 led the Braves with a time of 9:14, followed closely by Senior Rahim Burdette '18 and junior Deven Bose '19.

Way to go Braves!
The Braves will run on Saturday, September 9th at the Ed Sias Invitational in Menedez, CA, before launching the regular season at Redwood.
